1. Summary
We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Browsing invoke-books.com does not place tracking cookies in your browser.
If this changes in the future, we will display a consent banner and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set, as required by the EU ePrivacy Directive.
2. What cookies are
A "cookie" is a small data file that a website asks your browser to store and send back on subsequent requests. Cookies have legitimate uses (keeping you signed in, remembering preferences) and tracking uses (following you across sites for advertising). EU law distinguishes between strictly necessary cookies — which don't require consent — and non-essential cookies — which do.
This policy also covers comparable technologies (local storage, session storage, fingerprinting, web beacons, tracking pixels) where the privacy concerns are the same.
3. What we use today
3.1 On invoke-books.com (marketing website)
The marketing website currently sets no cookies during normal browsing. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site.
If you happen to visit a non-public preview link, our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie required for the preview to function; this does not apply to normal use of the site.
3.2 In the invoke mobile app
The mobile app does not use browser cookies. It uses local app storage to hold a session token issued by our authentication provider so you stay signed in between sessions. This is strictly necessary for the service to function and is not used for tracking.
3.3 When in-app browsing leaves invoke
If you click a link in invoke that leads to an external website, that external site may set its own cookies. We are not responsible for cookies set by other websites; please consult their cookie policies.
4. What we do not do
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.
- We do not participate in cross-site tracking, ad-network re-targeting, or audience profiling.
- We do not sell or share cookie data with third parties.
- We do not use device fingerprinting as a cookie substitute.
5. If this changes in the future
We may add product analytics at some point in the future. Server-side analytics typically do not require cookies. Should we ever introduce client-side analytics or other features that involve non-essential cookies, we would:
- Display a consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set.
- Let you refuse consent without losing access to the service.
- Provide a way to change your preferences at any time.
We will update this policy and notify you in advance of any such change (see Privacy Policy § 12).
6. How to control cookies (today)
Even though we set none, you can control cookies generally in your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
You can also use private / incognito browsing windows to prevent persistent cookies from being stored.
